Itinerary

Day 1: NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra (IXB) Airport to Kalimpong (78 km/3 hr)

Day 2: Kalimpong Local Sightseeing and Kalimpong to Gangtok (75 km/3 hr)

In the morning, we will continue our journey and visit Mangal Dham, Delo Hill, Dr Graham’s Home & Flower Nurseries and later drive back to Gangtok. Upon arrival check in to the hotel and the rest of the free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Gangtok.

Kalimpong- Kalimpong is a town in West Bengal. It is located in the region which comes under the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration which is an autonomous governing body within the state of West Bengal. Kalimpong is known for its educational institutions, many of which were established during the British colonial period. It used to be a gateway in the trade between Tibet and India before China's annexation of Tibet and the Sino-Indian War. 

Day 3: Gangtok: Trip to Tsomgo Lake + Baba Mandir-New

In the morning, we will continue our journey for a half-day trip to Tsomgo lake, which is only 32 km from Gangtok city, the lake is about 1 km long and 15 meters deep. After that drive for 12 km to visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (new). In the afternoon you will be returning back to Gangtok and the rest of the day will be free to enjoy yourself. Stay at Gangtok for the night.

Day 4: Gangtok: City Tour

Early morning, check out from the hotel and visit Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tak, Hanuman Tak, Enchey Monastery, Flower show and Handicraft Centre. Bonjhakri waterfalls, Dro-Dul Chorten and the Institute of Tibetology. After lunch, you can go on shopping at your own cost. Gangtok is the destination for a night's halt.

Gangtok- Gangtok is a city, the capital and the largest populated place of Sikkim. Gangtok is in the eastern Himalayan range. The city's population of 100,000 are from different ethnicities of Sikkimese people such as Indian Gorkhas, Bhutia and Lepchas. Within the higher peaks of the Himalayas and with a year-round mild temperate climate, Gangtok is at the centre of Sikkim's tourism industry. Gangtok became a major stopover on the trade route between Lhasa in Tibet and cities such as Kolkata.

Day 5: Gangtok to Darjeeling (100 km /4 hr)

In the morning after breakfast, continue your drive to Darjeeling. Upon arrival check in to the hotel and rest of the day free at leisure. Perform shopping on famous mall road by walk. Dinner and overnight stay at Darjeeling. 

Day 6: Darjeeling: Local Sightseeing

Early morning at 4:00 AM check out of the hotel and visit Tiger Hill (sunrise point over Mt. Khangchendzonga). Visit Ghoom Monastery on the way back, subject to permit availability. After breakfast, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, the Tea Garden (outer view), the Pace Pagoda, the Japanese Temple, and the Rope Way (tickets are guest owned). After lunch, you can go shopping along the famous mall road. Darjeeling is the destination for a night's halt.

Darjeeling- Darjeeling is a town in the northernmost region of West Bengal. It is located Eastern Himalayas. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India.

Day 7: Darjeeling to NJP Railway Station/ Bagdogra (IXB) Airport (100 km/3 hr)

Next morning after breakfast you will be transferred to your onward journey to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra International Airport. You can check the taxi/cab price from Darjeeling to NJP Rly Stn. via Mirik taxi fare on GangotriTravels.
